Q.) What is DTG printing?
A.) DTG is a fabric printing method that prints an image directly onto a garment or fabric using an inkjet printer. Think of a regular inkjet printer which has been modified to “accept” garments instead of paper. This offers more flexibility than screenprinting in terms of more colors, cost effectiveness and turn-around time.
Q.) What are my set up costs?
A.) None! Since we are not creating screens per color, as screenprinters do, there is no set up cost.
Q.) My design has alot of colors, can you print it.
A.) Thats our specialty. DTG printing is meant for, but not limited to, full color printing at fast turnarounds with out sacrificing quality and your wallet.
Q.) But I only have a 1-2 color design.
A.) The price for a single color print is the same as a unlimited color print so why not take advantage of it. Remember NO SET UP FEES! :)
Q.) Why do I need a High Res files of 300 dpi preferable?
A.) To achieve the best quality printed image we ALWAYS prefer a high res file to ensure the quality for our customers product.
Q.) But I sent in a 300 dpi file and it still looked bad. WHY?
A.) Just because a file is at 300dpi doesn’t mean the client sent in a crispy piece of art. Before sending in files do an image zoom at actual pixels to get an accurate display of how an image will print. You may have to choose better image resources to ensure a better print. See FILE PREP for instructions on setting up print files.
Q.) How do I get the lowest price at shorter quantities?
A.) We have the perfect solution. Call and ask our sale representatives about how to maximize your savings.
Q.) Can you print on anything?
A.) We print on 100% cotton to 80/20 % cotton garments for best results and some nom apparel goods.
Q.) I like thinner shirts and such. Can you print on saaaaaaay AA style garments?
A.) Yes. The issue is the thinner the shirt theirs nothing for the ink to hold on to. This could risk the garments life expectancy. We’ve tested and proven that the best quality shirt is Tees 6oz. or greater. Also not all shirts are created equal.
Q.) How long will my prints last?
A.) If the proper care is taken, the print can least a very long time. This being said we are not responsible for the way the customer chooses to wash their garments.
